The new America’s Got Talent spin-off, AGT: Fantasy League, has announced a premiere date and revealed the 40 acts that will be competing. Get ready to spend New Year’s Day watching the first episode of this new competition.
AGT: Fantasy League Announces Premiere Date
On Wednesday, the AGT Instagram account posted a photo of the Fantasy League judges (Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Simon Cowell) with host Terry Crews. The post was accompanied by the news that the spin-off will premiere on Monday, January 1, 2024, on NBC.
For those who don’t know, Fantasy League is similar to the previous spin-offs AGT: The Champions and AGT: All-Stars, in that it features past contestants returning to the Got Talent stage. However, this version of the competition has a new twist.
Each of the four judges will lead a Dream Team of contestants they choose from past seasons of Got Talent from around the world. The judges are competing for bragging rights, but the winning contestant earns a $250,000 grand prize.
The 40 acts who are competing in the spin-off were nominated by fans of the show. Around the same time the show shared a premiere date, NBC also shared which acts we can expect to see.
